What Google can establish

Claims about Google Search, not every AI product

Google Search Central is the primary source for how Google describes crawl access, index eligibility, structured data, Search Console, AI Overviews and AI Mode. Hidden Radius uses it for Google-specific statements and does not generalize those statements to unrelated systems without additional evidence.

The continuing SEO foundation

No separate entry door for generative Search

Google states that the normal SEO foundation remains relevant to AI Overviews and AI Mode. Pages need to be publicly accessible, crawlable, indexable and eligible to appear with a Search snippet.

Google also states that no special AI schema or new machine-readable AI file is required. Important information should remain available in visible text, connected by internal links and supported by accurate business or product data.

Query fan-out

One user request may trigger several searches

AI Overviews and AI Mode may use query fan-out, issuing related searches across subtopics and data sources. That helps explain why broad, complex questions can surface pages that do not contain the exact wording of the original request.

The practical implication is coherent topic coverage and strong page relationships—not mass production of thin pages for every imagined variation.

Site-owner controls

Access, preview and current data

robots.txt and infrastructure

Crawl permission must also be respected by the CDN, server and security layer.

Internal links

Important pages should be discoverable through normal crawlable navigation.

Textual content

Essential information should not exist only in images or inaccessible interactions.

Structured data

Markup should match visible page content.

Business and product sources

Google Business Profile and Merchant Center information should be current where applicable.

Search Console

Inspection and performance data support diagnosis but do not guarantee inclusion.

Hidden Radius conclusion

Google’s generated layer still depends on an evidence layer

The interface is new, but the underlying requirement is familiar: a source must be reachable, processed and relevant before it can support an answer. The larger discovery stack adds recognition, retrieval fidelity, source quality and business outcomes around that foundation.
